History

Brown Industrial Parts Services is a family-owned business started in 2005 by Andy Brown. Although Andy is now retired (or re-purposed as he likes to say), it’s not unusual to see him around the shop or visiting with customers - he still has a heart for serving people!

Our steady growth over the years is a testament to the excellent team at Brown Industrial. We’ve never done much marketing, instead growing by word-of-mouth and referral. Most of our customers know us as their go-to source because of our reputation for service and reliability.

  • Jake Bargfrede

    Jake Bargfrede is a Kansas City native who has been living in the city for 21 years. Jake is hard-working, motivated, and detail-oriented. He has worked at Brown Industrial for 1 year and worked in the food service industry for 3 years prior. His favorite part of his job is the people he works with. Hobbies include golfing, boating, and wake surfing. Jake is a lifelong Chiefs fan and his favorite local restaurant is Garozzo's. He enjoys traveling to LA for the good weather and palm trees. According to Jake, he is the best golfer at Brown Industrial Parts Services! "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7

  • Ryan Bargfrede

    Ryan Bargfrede is a Kansas City native who has been involved in personal finance since he was 23 years old. He owns multiple businesses and is involved in many community organizations, including the Northland Chamber of Commerce, Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, and the Elks Lodge of North Kansas City. He appreciates the people that he serves and the ones that he works with. He is a loyal, caring leader. In his free time, Ryan enjoys history, cars, soccer, Bass Fishing, riding Harleys, traveling, and sports (his favorite team is TCU Horned Frogs - his daughter is an alumni!)   • David Biggs

    David Biggs was born in Illinois but has lived in Kansas City for most of his life. He is currently in a role where he enjoys the people, the pace, and constantly striving to provide superior service for our customers, vendors and our staff. David is detail-oriented, direct, funny. He loves spending time with his family (grandfather to 6 and father to 3), cooking, and watching the KC Royals. Sedona, AZ is his favorite place to travel for its beautiful red rock horizons.   • Andy Brown

    Andy Brown is originally from St. Louis but his home has been Kansas City since 1967. He founded Brown Industrial Parts Services in 2005. Andy looks to God for guidance in order to serve those he's meant to, and values faithfulness, honesty and reliability immensely. In his free time he enjoys spending quality time with family members, listening to music, traveling, playing golf, hiking and also likes bowling every once in a while. When not working or occupied with leisure activities, Andy takes pleasure in exploring different parts of the United States by travelling around the country. No matter what season it is, he remains a loyal fan of the Royals and frequents Jack Stack, Garozzo's and The Peanut as his go-to restaurants. In a former life, Andy served for over 4 years as a reserve public safety officer in Gladstone Missouri.

  • Genny Cox

    Genny Cox was born and raised in the KC area. She has 25 years of experience in industrial sales and has worked at Brown Industrial Parts Services since 2006. She loves her co-workers and that no two days are the same. Direct, fast-paced, and loyal; are some of the words that describe Genny. When she's not working or spending time with family, you can find her running half marathons, reading, or crocheting. Genny enjoys vacationing in North Carolina with her family. Her favorite local restaurant is 54th Street Grill and her favorite sports team is the KC Monarchs. "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?   • Steve Dillon

    Steve Dillon is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. He's been in manufacturing for over 38 years and has enjoyed working with the people he's met along the way. Steve likes to make things better and work on improving processes. When he's not at work, you can find him watching his kids and grandkids play sports, boating, bowling, or golfing. Steve enjoys vacationing in Destin, Florida, and spending time on the white sandy beaches. His favorite local restaurant is The Capital Grille, where he enjoys a good steak. A loyal Chiefs fan, Steve has been a season ticket holder for 32 years!

  • Ben Malick

    Ben Malick is originally from Kansas City. He's been an entrepreneur and business owner since 2016. His favorite part of his current role is the amazing people he gets to work with. Ben is faithful, thoughtful, and caring. He enjoys spending time with family, reading, sports, and hiking. He's a lifelong Chiefs and Royals fan. You may not know that Ben can juggle (he even used to be able to do it while riding a unicycle!) “This world is a great sculptor’s shop.   • David Needham

    David Needham is originally from Houston, TX, and has lived in the KC area for the last 23 years. With a BBA from Texas State University along with his 13 years at Brown Industrial and 10 years with a Tax and Accounting firm, David is highly experienced and great at what he does. David enjoys the variety in his work and that no two days are the same. David is hard-working, loyal, and generous, and he enjoys spending his free time skiing, golfing, coaching and playing baseball, and smoking BBQ (his favorite food.) You can find David supporting the Chiefs, Royals, and Astros. David loves traveling to Lake Tahoe for skiing and hopes to visit Switzerland one day to ski in the Swiss Alps.   • Jennifer Thowe

    Jennifer Thowe is originally from the KC Northland. She has a BSBA in Business Administration and over 20 years of customer service experience. Jennifer is enthusiastic, confident, and friendly; she loves interacting with customers and helping to solve their problems. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, running, and boating. Her favorite local restaurant is Piropos, and her favorite sports team is Sporting KC. When she's not at work or hanging out with her family and friends, she loves to vacation in Florida and Arizona for the beaches and hiking. "Quality means doing it right when no one is looking."
